Greetings to all,
For those of you who haven't met me, I'm James. I'm from the US. I have been teaching here at ALS for three years, and am beginning my fourth year here. I believe English is an important tool for succeeding globally. I look forward in working and continuing to work with you on meeting your English goals.
I take Fridays to think about what I've done the previous week. When I think about each week, I think about my students, and what I can do to make them better English speakers. I ask two simple questions: (1) Where did I succeed? and (2) Where do I need to improve?
This week's theme: "Class Time Management"
For most of my students, I see them once a week for 50 minutes, and teach and every week I have to get the most out of them, and so, I must motivate them, which is a difficult challenge. Sometimes I have to be funny, strict, serious, and/or a mix. It's case by case.
No matter what age my students, their time with me each week is their time (and no matter how much I want to talk about myself) it is their time. I work for my students. They are the reason I teach, and each week I must remember why I am here.
To make the most of my time each week, I reflect on how I can improve my class management time. The bottom-line: making the most of the little time I have with my students each week.
I hope to hear from you, and I will continue to make ALS a place of learning and education.
James

辞書
Hello Ttsuki
