A variety of lessons today.
My working day started with an adults conversation class.
We discussed facial appearances today. We will follow this up with describing family members and friends the following week.
Mid-afternoon started with a 30-minute private class with a very bright, young girl called Midori.
Later in the day, a childrens class, aged 6-8.
Todays lesson plan was about occupations.
A quick review of the last lesson - he/she is a teacher/cook/nurse, etc. before moving on to plurals - they are teachers/cooks/nurses, etc.
A Junior High class followed this. The lesson plan was being able to plan trips/hiking/camping and sports such as baseball and tennis, and associating which equipment you need to take with you.
An enjoyable 50-minute private lesson brought the day to an end. Or so I thought.....
A visitor came to the school unexpectedly. Not anyone famous, in fact not even a person, but a bat!
In the early evening the door to the school was open and the bat flew in.
After a short while, as the bat became lost and disorientated, we were able to secure it in a small box and take it outside where it could be set free with no harm.
Clearly exhausted, we left the bat alone allowing it recover and return home in its own time.
We agreed to check the box on Saturday morning.
